The RootCode Wheel is a minimalist contemplation interface inspired by the Gene Keys by Richard Rudd and the I Ching.
It weaves together the 64 Gene Keys Spectrum of Consciousness keywords with the elemental logic of the I Ching Ba Gua into a single, visually coherent tool designed for deep self reflection.
The Wheel presents all 64 Gene Keys arranged in a circular structure and expressed through the eight elemental forces of the Ba Gua. Each Gene Key is positioned within the eight element structure, with its elemental roots revealed through colour.
This layout allows experienced Gene Keys practitioners to intuitively perceive relationships between Gene Keys not only through Programming Partner polarity, but also through elemental structure.
Each Gene Key is composed of two trigrams, also referred to as two Ba Gua elements. In most cases these elements are different. Only eight Gene Keys are composed of the same element in both trigrams. These eight form the Master Gene Keys, specifically Gene Keys 1, 2, 29, 30, 51, 52, 57, and 58.
The remaining 56 Gene Keys are structured as combinations of two different elemental roots. In the RootCode Wheel these are reflected not only as combinations of Ba Gua elements, but also in their Shadow, Gift and Siddhi as combined expressions of the corresponding Master Gene Key keywords.
